Alan is available for on-site training, mentoring and condition monitoring program audits. Alan also gets involved in Condition Monitoring management training, creation of marketing materials and technical writing. Alan has worked with a number of companies who are developing wireless sensors, cloud application and machine learning for IoT. Alan is a certified CMRP exam proctor.

Alan has taught hundreds of ISO 18436-2 Category I, II, III and IV vibration analysis courses since he began working for the Mobius Institute in 2007. He is also involved in creating, editing and updating the course materials on an ongoing basis. Alan has taught public and on-site courses around the world and has supported MI Training Partners in: Canada, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Italy, Trinidad, India etc. He also trained many of the trainers in the US.
1991 – 2007 Senior Engineer, AzimaDLI
In 15 years at DLI Engineering Alan was involved in many aspects of the business, including software and hardware development, expert system development, quality assurance and software testing, technical support, on-site training, technical sales support, marketing and business development. He helped develop and teach ISO 18436-2 equivalent Category I, II and III vibration courses around the world in Spanish and English.
Alan has visited hundreds of facilities of all types around the word to help implement and support vibration monitoring programs. This experience helped him understand what is required for a program to succeed in the long term.
Alan has published numerous articles in industry magazines and presented them at tradeshows.
Other Interests
Alan loves to travel and experience new cultures and new ideas. He is an avid hiker and backpacker who loves being out in nature. Alan is also a serious meditator and he disappears every couple of years to do intensive meditation retreats lasting multiple months. On these retreats he does not speak and he has no access to email or cell phones, so make sure you book a course with him before he disappears again!
